Showhome and a Stroll

One lucky explorer was the winner of a $200 MEC gift card, but you can still explore the trails of Starling!

Looking to take advantage of the warmer weather? Visit any (or all!) of the Starling at Big Lake showhomes and pick up a pair of binoculars and a trail map to see why so many people love to call Starling home.

The trail map outlines the best of Starling at Big Lake’s numerous natural amenities. With no home being more than 200 meters from greenspace, the community boasts over 2km of multi-use trails, two lookout gazebos, a pond with a teaching dock and more. You can stop by the interpretive panels which will educate you on the low impact developments in the community like the bioswales and wetlands that help to make Starling an environmentally friendly neighbourhood.

There are more than 220 species of birds that have been sighted in the nearby Lois Hole Centennial Provincial Park and it is not rare to see them spending time in Starling either. Due to the community’s close proximity to nature, it is not uncommon to see wildlife from your window in Starling at Big Lake.

Come discover for yourself what makes Starling at Big Lake one of the best communities in Edmonton at one of our six showhomes:
